NΟΜΙΚΙ BIBLIOTHIKI holds a leading position in the field of scholarly publications, professional training, software development and the provision of other breakthrough online services for legal and financial professionals, Businesses, Organizations, Banks and Educational Institutions in Greece and abroad.
Headquartered in Athens, in privately owned premises, including state-of-the art conference facilities, it employs 125 individuals and has its own sales and distribution network with branches in Athens, Piraeus, Patras, Thessaloniki as well as Cyprus.
Publications
The in-house publishing production, which reaches more than 150 titles per year, including 15 high-profile scholarly journals, the in-house editorial team – many members of which hold PhD degrees –, the early adoption of technological innovations in all aspects of publishing work, and the highly qualified academics and authors collaborating with Nomiki Bibliothiki, have rendered its publications a point of reference for reliability, consistency and credibility for courts, academics, practitioners and businesses.
Education
Since 2000, Nomiki Bibliothiki offers a wide range of professional training courses, including seminars, conferences and other educational programs for legal and financial professionals as well as businesses. In 2014, it obtained its certification as a continuing education and lifelong learning center from the National Organization for the Certification of Qualification & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and the Greek Ministry of Education, collaborating with esteemed trainers as well as domestic and foreign educational institutions to provide top-notch education in new, rapidly growing fields of law and economics. The relevance of the selected topics, the high expertise of instructors and the impeccable organization in the training venue, both for onsite and online participants, bring added value that breaks new grounds in the individual and professional development of the participants.
Arbitration & ADR Facilities
Since 2000, Nomiki Bibliothiki has hosted in its premises hundreds of national and international arbitral proceedings providing administrative and secretarial support, deliberation and hearing rooms, recording and transcripts of hearings, translation support, audiovisual equipment, access to library, safe keeping of documents etc.
Since January 2017, the newly founded EODID Athens Arbitration and Mediation Organization (
www.eodid.org), an entity headquartered within the premises of Nomiki Bibliothiki, takes this experience a step further and has expanded Nomiki Bibliothiki’s ADR hosting activity, providing 12 fully equipped rooms of different capacity, adaptable to the needs of every dispute resolution process.
Organization of Corporate Events
Every year, Nomiki Bibliothiki’s conference facilities provide hosting and accommodation services with regard to a large number of scholarly conferences, trainings, workshops and other activities of scholarly associations, law firms, NGOs, organizations and enterprises from Greece and abroad.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Nomiki Bibliothiki honors the legal community in which it belongs and believes in paying it forward; it offers its support actively and consistently through various corporate social responsibility initiatives, including granting scholarships to postdoctoral students, the distribution of thousands of free books to students per university semester, and numerous grants to scholarly associations, Bar Associations, Courts, Correctional facilities, University libraries, Sports Legal Associations etc.
Merits & Awards
Nomiki Bibliothiki has been awarded for its growth and performance, as a result of its consistent efforts to constantly upgrade the quality of its publishing, educational and other services.
On acconunt of its overall corporate activity, in 2000 Nomiki Bibliothiki was listed by EU XXIII Directorate as one of the 500 most dynamically developing Europe's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) achieving within a five-year period growth that surpassed 400% in manpower and turnover.
In 2010, Nomiki Bibliothiki was granted a business excellence award by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) for achieving an outstanding level of sustainable excellence, based on assessment against the EFQM Excellence Model. As a result of its pursuit of innovation, Nomiki Bibliothiki was granted a Silver Award for its educational platform nblearning.org in the framework of the Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards 2016.
As of 2017, Nomiki Bibliothiki's Lifelong Learning Center holds the ISO 29990:2010 accreditation for non-formal adult education and training.
